Pub Charity Limited Support

The Styx Living Laboratory Trust greatly appreciates the support of Pub Charity Limited for funding the Conservation Projects Manager role. The Conservation Projects Manager leads the Trust’s Core Business activities including managing our conservation projects, manages the Christine Heremaia Field Centre and allows us to make catchment wide differences such as facilitation of the Trust planting 50,000 trees this year (increasing tree canopy in Ōtautahi), establishing urban reserves, enhancing ecological knowledge such as her joint discovery of the Long-tailed Bat DNA(this Bat has been missing from Christchurch since 1885), innovative research projects(creating augmented reality to communicate freshwater values), weed &pest control, environmental education programmes (including Rongoā Māori) sediment control work, host internships, community conservation events, citizen science programmes and increasing the biodiversity of the Catchment through habitat creation for wildlife.
