Paradise Shelduck

Scientific Name: Tadorna variegata

Adult Paradise Shelducks, around two years of age, form lifelong pairs and will defend their territories for raising their chicks - usually around nine at a time.

The male has a black head and barred, black body; while the female has a white head & brightly coloured body plumage.
